Despite the water, water everywhere and much the same to be said for mud, a good-sized group of riders arrived to see what they could do in tonight's calm wind conditions. Wonderfully well could be said for many! First-place Michael Nash cracked throught the 19 minute barrier with an 18:59 - a 14 second improvement upon his previous best of 19:13 set on the incredibly fast night of 2004-Jul-29. Leading the women, Sue Schlatter, with 21:14, took another two seconds off of her previous best. Michael and Sue are both Veteran B riders, and have been setting club records this year at every distance they've tried! Now for the young ones - Andrew Lattimore, still a cadet, came in with a 19:49 - nearly one minute faster than the previous Cadet record which he had set on 2007-May-24.
Hooray! The official results were available on 2007-Aug-24 circa 11:00. Good volunteer work is always appreciated, by some of us! I've offered same day, accurate service, and am looking forward to helping here next year...
Thanks to our Helpers: Lynn Dal-Cin, Gunter Hauschildt, Alex McKnight, Louise McLaren.
